DO I NEED AN ACCOUNT?
No. You can use Fairway One’s core course, GPS, scoring, and rules features as a guest. An account is optional where account features are available.
WHY CAN’T FAIRWAY ONE FIND MY COURSE?
Search using the full course name or enter the city and two-letter state abbreviation, such as Columbia, MD. You can also try the ZIP code. Course coverage and tee details depend on available data. If a course is missing or incorrect, submit its name, address, website, and the missing information through the support form.
WHY IS GPS NOT WORKING?
Open your device settings and allow Fairway One to use precise location while the app is in use. Then open the course and GPS Caddie again. Fairway One does not require background location. GPS accuracy can vary because of trees, buildings, weather, satellite visibility, and the accuracy of mapped course features.
WHY DOES VOICE INPUT NOT WORK?
Tap the microphone button and grant microphone and speech-recognition permission when asked. Confirm that your device has a working speech-recognition service and an internet connection if your device’s speech provider requires one. You can always type the question instead.
ARE RULE ANSWERS OFFICIAL RULINGS?
No. Fairway One explains rules in plain language and can help you identify the relevant rule. For competition decisions, penalties, or disputed situations, check the current official Rules of Golf and ask the Committee or a qualified rules official. Course and competition local rules take priority when properly adopted.
WHAT IF A COURSE HAS A LOCAL RULE FOR OUT OF BOUNDS OR A LOST BALL?
Check the course scorecard, posted notices, starter instructions, and the Committee’s local rules. Some courses adopt an optional alternative to stroke-and-distance relief, but it applies only when the course or Committee has put that local rule into effect. Fairway One should not assume that the option applies at every course or in every competition.
IS THE WEATHER AN OFFICIAL WARNING SERVICE?
No. Weather information may be delayed or incomplete. Follow course staff, local emergency alerts, and official weather authorities. Leave the course and seek shelter when conditions require it.
HOW DO I DELETE MY ACCOUNT?
In Fairway One, open Account & Privacy, choose Delete My Account, and confirm. You can also submit a verified request at https://kinnecktapp.com/fairway-one-account-deletion.
